Polish retailer Zabka will expand into the local retail market under the Froo brand

The Polish group Zabka, with more than 10,000 stores in the mother country, will expand locally under the Froo brand. Last year, the retailer bought the majority stake in the distributor DRIM Daniel Distributie FMCG.

Polish group Zabka could expand locally under the Froo brand, according to market reports. The retailer would plan to open 200 convenience stores, starting this year. Moreover, on January 1 this year, the group opened the company Froo România Retail SRL in Romania.

Radu Trandafir, shareholder and Strategy Manager of DRIM Daniel Distributie FMCG, the company that sold the majority stake to Zabka, was appointed to the management of Froo Romania.

DRIM Daniel Distributie FMCG was owned, before the transaction with Zabka, by the Trandafir family from Pitesti and Ioana Ionitescu.
