A fifth tender for the bankrupt Ferencváros FC abruptly came to a close in mid-January, once again without a new owner. The only bidder for the 109-year-old club, Esplanade Real Estate, representing Sheffield United FC and the Scarborough Property Group, thought it had a lock on the tender and had already started the due diligence and valuation process.
