Data from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Croatia show an increase in industrial production. In October, it was 2.8 percent higher than last year, while retail sales fell by 2.5 percent. But in the last ten months, the industry has shrunk by a total of 3.9 percent, and retail sales have fallen in real terms by 6.5 percent. The recovery of the industry in October seems to be mainly due to the manufacturing sector of the electrical, chemical and metal industries.

When it comes to consumption, the best results are recorded by trade via the Internet and mail, with a growth of 18.2 percent in October and 12.1 percent in ten months. In the same period, pharmacies, medical and cosmetic products increased by 4.8 and 6.2 percent, respectively. Sales of motor vehicles, fuel and lubricants fell the most.
