Pretty Group to start clothes production in Serbia

Pretty Group, a company based in Dhaka, Bangladesh has signed a contract to lease space once occupied by Zastava Specijalni Automobili in Sombor. This clothes producer will produce knitted textiles in two production halls for top global brands. The premises have been renovated, production should start soon. The manufacturer will use modern machinery in sewing and knitting process. The company signed a contract with the Ministry of Economy, according to which should employ 1,100 workers in next 2 years in return for incentives of around €3.4m. The total estimated investment would be €14.3m and the manufacturer expects annual production about 2.4 million units.
In the first stage the manufacturer will employ 300 people who will be retrained and put them to work in the two halls, which are 2,000 sqm and 3,000 sqm. The manufacturer should expand to 12,000 sqm in the future.
