Multivac opens factory in Bulgaria

Multivac Bulgaria Production opened a new production facility near Sofia, following an €18.8m investment. The plant is located in the Bozhurishte industrial zone on a 20,000 sqm plot. The property includes a warehouse and logistics center as well as a training center and an administration building, with a shared service center for IT, strategic purchasing, design and services. Construction started in September 2016. More than 150 people are employed at the factory, which produces machine parts. Multivac has its headquarters in Germany. The company operates 11 other plants around the world, including locations in Austria, Spain, Germany, Finland, Brazil, Japan and the US.
