Hungarian unemployment rate at 3.7%

The unemployment rate in Hungary reached 3.7 percent between June and August, according to the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH). The figure is slightly up from the previous three-month period, which put the jobless rate at 3.6 percent, but down from 4.2 percent y-o-y. The data covers unemployment among people between 15 and 74 years old. In absolute terms, there were 173,100 unemployed people in Hungary between June and August, 6,900 more than between May and July, but 22,300 less than in the corresponding period a year earlier, according to KSH.
