Hungarian retail sales up 6.3% in August

The retail sales volume in Hungary increased by 6.3 percent y-o-y in August based on raw data, and by 6.8 percent adjusted for calendar effects, according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH). The volume of sales, adjusted for calendar effects, increased by 4.1 percent in specialized and non-specialized food shops, by 10.7 percent in non-food retail and by 6.2 percent in automotive fuel retail in August, according to KSH.
