Civil Aviation Group buys Air Moldova for $71m

Civil Aviation Group acquired Air Moldova for $71m, with $2.96m going to the Moldovan state budget. The remaining funds from the sale will cover the national airline’s debts. Air Moldova was founded in 1983 and offers direct flights to 33 destinations worldwide. The new Romanian owner is planning to launch seven new routes in 2019 and four more in 2020. Civil Aviation Group also owns the low-cost carrier Blue Air.
