Hungarian inflation up 3.6% in September

Consumer prices in Hungary rose 3.6 percent y-o-y in September, according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH). The figure marks a slight increase from August, which saw inflation grow by 3.4 percent. Food prices increased by 4.6 percent y-o-y in September. The price of flour was up by 7.8 percent, and egg prices rose by 7 percent. The price of sugar, meanwhile, fell 22.7 percent, according to KSH.
