Deutsche Bank's has announced a 65 percent drop in its net profit for the third quarter of its year, though its leadership claims that active cost cutting will result in its first full-year profit since 2014. Q3 results saw just €229 in profits in 2018, compared to a €649m result 12 months earlier, mostly because of lower trading of securities. The bank's overall revenues fell 9 percent to €6.1bn. CEO Christian Sewing took the positive view, saying "this result is another milestone on our way to becoming a sustainably profitable bank."
