Czech industrial space vacancy up to 4.3%

The total warehouse stock in the Czech Republic has grown to 7.55 million square meters, of which around 180,700 sqm was delivered in the third quarter of 2018. The Industrial Research Forum reports that vacancy has risen slightly to 4.3 percent, with 123,500 sqm currently available, with the biggest vacancy figure to be found in Usti nad Labem (11.3 percent). Gross take-up hit 334,400 sqm in Q3 which reflected an increase from the previous quarter of 7 percent. Overall, 1,068,100 sqm of space has been occupied over the course of 2018. Net take-up for Q3, however, fell 4 percent to 211,600 sqm and for the year the figure stands at 624,000, which is a 12 percent reduction. Production companies were responsible for 44 percent of this year's net demand. The largest new lease in Q3 was the 21,700 sqm deal for Panalpina in Panattoni Park Prague Airport II, while the biggest overall was Bridgestone's renegotation at CTPark Bor (41,700 sqm).
