The developer Lordship has met with Bratislava's mayor Matúš Vallo about the never-ending saga of SNP square, where it owns the old Kyjev hotel and adjacacent land. The Slovak daily Pravda writes that Lordship's director Jonathan Jackson told the mayor that rather than trying to change the planning again, he would reconstruct the old Kyjev building structure and construct an office building on the land where a parking lot currently operates. The buildings would be served by a new underground parking garage. He also wants to recreate the land between Rajská and Špitalska streets to make it more attractive and accessible and that he'd already held talks with George Trabelssie, the new owner of the Tesco department store on SNP square. Jackson said the mayor told him how valuable the land is to the city and that an architectural competition for the area was being prepared.
