Hostel 4 You has acquired the old Hotel Iz in Zadar, along the Croatian coast, for €1.5m. The new owner intends to renovate the 4,399 sqm property into a four-star hotel. Iz was put on the auction block last August and received bids from four companies. Hostel 4 You, which offered the highest bid, officially signed the sales contract this week. The property is renowned for being the home of famed footballer Luka Modric during the 1990s.
