Ball Corporation investing €45m in Serbian operations

Ball Corporation is planning to invest €45m to expand its operations in Serbia. The company, which manufacturers metal packaging for the beverage industry, will hire an additional 40 workers for its plant in Belgrade in an effort to boost its output to more than 2 billion cans per year. Ball exports 70 percent of its goods to 20 markets across the globe. Its main clients are leading international beer producers as well as non-alcoholic drink and water producers. As of 2004, the company has invested more than €140m into its production activities.
