Penta profits hit record €288m

Penta Investments saw its profits rise by 22 percent last year to a record €288m, with revenues rising 10 percent to €7.5bn. THe group's primary profit leaders were its property division, Penta Real Estate and its pharmacy chain Dr. Max. "Thanks to the healthy profitability of our strategic companies and the trust of banks we were able to invest more than CZK 20bn into our companies, which is more than triple our net profit," said Penta partner Marek Dospiva. The company claims that its biggest boost had come through its acquisition of the Romanian pharmacy chain AD Pharma as it added 2,000 stores and CZK 59.2bn in revenues. Penta is active in 10 countries.
