Tesco has sold off an enormous plot of land at the beginning of the D1 motorwaz that lies on the eastern edge of Šeberov. The 662 ha property was acquired by Geone Šeberov which according to E15 is controlled by the billionaire David Beran through his company Strongwest. The remaining 20 percent share is held by Geone Eleven, one of whose principals is the developer Milan Janků. Tesco had a wide range of potential buyers, according to Jiří Kristek of represented by Cushman & Wakefield, which represented the retailer in the deal. The Prague-based law practice Wilsons provided legal advice. Tesco bought the land in 1998 with the intention of building a hypermarket there as part of a larger regional shopping center.
