After a short break from politics, former Prague mayor Adriana Krnáčová announced her comeback plans. Prague 6 representatives of her party, ANO, nominated her to the leadership of the party city-wide. Krnáčová was mayor from 2014 to 2018 but decided not to run for any office in the last local elections. "I have enough work and human experience as well as a high level of moral integrity," she told Seznam.cz, though it was unclear if this was an oblique reference to ANO's boss, the current Czech prime minister. The Czech News Agency notes that Krnáčová brought attention to herself from the beginning of her mayorship by calling the designers of the Blanka tunnel in Prague "idiots". She explained her decision not to run again for the post of mayor before last year's elections by complaining in a letter to party colleagues that the mayor of Prague gets blamed for things she has no control over.
