Hungary to continue cooperation with Gazprom

Gazprom will continue to supply gas to Hungary, according to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, who recently met with Viktor Zubkov, chairman of Russia’s national gas company. “As Hungary has a vested interest in a long-term, predictable and reliable cooperation with Gazprom, it is prepared to launch talks on a new long-term gas supply agreement with the company,” said Szijjarto. The foreign minister added that using natural gas for transport services may help reduce greenhouse emissions.
