The work would include the modernization and expansion of the network of rails that connect outerlying regions to the Hungarian capital. The H6 and H7 lines are due for repair work while the H7 will be extended and the two lines are to be connected into a single line and run underground to Kalvin Ter at the intersection of the M3 and M4 lines. A new tunnel under the Danube is also under construction to connect the H6 and H7 with the H5.
