Hungarian Borders remain closed until February 1st

The Hungarian government has announced that the temporary closure of Schengen borders will be extended until the end of January. This rule means that only those travelling for business purposes will not be required to quarantine for a period of 10-days. On Friday prime minister Viktor Orban announced on Radio Kossuth that this week Hungary will launch the online pregistration process for the Covid-19 vaccination. On Saturday Minister of Trade and Foreighn Affairs Peter Szijjarto declared an additional EUR 161m to the COVID-19 rescue package for companies that will not make their employees redundant during the lockdown.
