In November 2020, 2,392 building permits were issued in Serbia

In November 2020, 2,392 building permits were issued, presenting the increase of 23.9 percent related to November 2019, according to data of Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia. Out of the total number of permits issued in November 2020, 82.5 percent related to buildings and 17.5% to civil engineering. When referring only to buildings, 80.0 percent related to residential buildings and 20.0 percent to non–residential ones, while regarding civil engineering, the largest number related to pipelines, communication and electric power lines (74.4 percent).

According to the permits issued in November 2020 in the Republic of Serbia, building of 1,948 dwellings with average area of 69.9 m2 was recorded. Out of the total number of dwellings in new residential buildings, 14.8 percent of dwellings will be built in single-dwelling buildings, with average area of 137.1 sqm, and 83.3 percent of dwellings will be in buildings with three and more dwellings, with significantly smaller average area of 56.8 sqm.
