Intel will start the expansion of the company's Gdańsk campus - the largest Intel research and development center in the European Union, the company said. The works will start at the beginning of the year, and the planned completion date is expected mid-2023.

Intel will soon start an investment in a new research and development center in Gdańsk, for the construction and equipment of which it received about PLN 50 million from the European Regional Development Fund under the" Intelligent Development "Operational Program, Measure 2.1 Support for investments in R&D infrastructure of enterprises. The new building called IGK6 will be another investment implemented by the company in Poland. The construction completion date is scheduled for mid-2023.

Another investment of the American technology giant in Gdańsk is a confirmation that the direction taken by the Polish economy is positively assessed in the world," said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Development, Labor and Technology Jarosław Gowin.

The research and development center in Gdańsk is the second largest center of this type in the world after the USA. The new, sixth building - IGK6 - will be as intelligent and sustainable (in the LEED Gold standard) as any Intel facility in the world. The total area will be 27,400 sqm, and the office building will consist of five floors.
