Magyar Telekom planning to sublease its headquarters

According to Reuters Magyar Telekom plans to sublease part of its 58,000 square meter office in Budapest. Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic due to strict hygiene regulations only 150 to 200 employees were on site in the Budapest offices, where usually 5500 people work. At the same time the management has already decided that with the return to normal business 40% of employees will be working from home. With no way out of a 15-year lease agreement with WING the company owned by Deutsch Telekom is looking into subleasing large parts of their office space.
