Mateusz Morawiecki, the Prime Minister of Poland has called on companies to comply with the rules aiming to combat the COVID-19 epidemic after some restaurants and ski lifts opened to customers, flouting the government ban. According to the announcement from the government, ski slopes, hotels as well as restaurants should remain closed at least until January 31. Many companies operating restaurants or ski lifts, especially those in popular holidays resorts like Zakopane, complain that the money from the government is insufficient to cover their financial loses. The Polish government has handed over PLN 173 billion as financial aid to companies across the Poland since the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic.
