20 million vaccinations will be carried out by the end of Q2, and the goal is to vaccinate all volunteers by the end of August 2021, announced Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The manufacturers' schedules show that in April, over 5 million vaccines will be delivered to Poland, and there may be as many as 7 million of them. Registration for vaccinations for all volunteers is to begin in May.

"By the end of Q2, we will perform a total of 20 million vaccinations, and by the end of August we want to vaccinate all those who want to be vaccinated in Poland," said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

According to Morawiecki, up to 10 million people per month will be vaccinated in Q2.

According to the government's plenipotentiary for vaccination, Michał Dworczyk, in April over 5 million doses of vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson should reach Poland.

"In April, over 5 million vaccines will arrive in Poland, these are hard schedules sent to us by manufacturers, while declarations indicate that there may be as many as 7 million of them," Dworczyk said.

Therefore, a change in the vaccination schedule is planned and the start of population vaccinations for all of them in May. Dworczyk announced that vaccinations will take place at drive through points or in workplaces.

If the employer organizes a vaccination team and there are a minimum of 500 employees willing to vaccinate, he will be able to apply to the Government Strategic Reserves Agency (RARS) and it will provide the vaccine. If this form of vaccination becomes popular, it will be possible to organize vaccinations in smaller companies in the future.

The regulations on qualifying for vaccinations will also change. In Q1, only qualification by a physician was possible. Today, the Sejm adopted an amendment to the act on preventing and combating infections and infectious diseases in humans, which will enable the issuance of a regulation enabling the qualification for vaccinations by a doctor, dentist, paramedic, paramedic, physiotherapist, diagnostician, pharmacist, or a student of the last year of medical studies.

Dworczyk informed that from April 12, registration for population vaccinations from 1962 will start and for the next two weeks registration for 1973 will be open. In May, however, registration for vaccinations will be open to all applicants.

The Ministry of Health announced today that the daily number of vaccinations against COVID-19 was 75,854, and a total of 5,963,933 were carried out. So far, 7,092,860 doses of the vaccine have been delivered to Poland. 6,483,960 were sent to vaccination points, and 6,665 were disposed of.
