Serbia sees a drop in tourists in October

The Republic Bureau of Statistics of Serbia announced that in October, Serbia recorded 49.3 percent fewer tourist arrivals than in the same period last year. The number of overnight stays decreased by 37.5 percent. In October, 168,497 arrivals were recorded, of which a maximum of 30 percent in the region of Sumadija and Western Serbia, while the Belgrade region accounted for 23.5 percent of the total number of arrivals.

Most tourist arrivals in Serbia were from Israel, 6805, followed by BiH with 6610 tourists, followed by Turkey and Montenegro with slightly more than 2.5 thousand arrivals in Serbia. More than 104 thousand overnight stays were realized in Belgrade, among the spas the leader is Sokobanja with 66.6 thousand, while in mountainous places the most 42.4 thousand overnight stays were on Zlatibor.
