The first Siemens tram, completely produced in the Siemens Mobility factory near Kragujevac, Serbia is being delivered today to the city of Bremen in Germany. As it was announced from Siemens Mobility, the total order includes 77 Avenio trams, of which 47 will be produced in Kragujevac.

Siemens Mobility took over the factory in Kragujevac in 2018. As a first step, the production of components for Siemens Mobility vehicles began in the summer of 2018. At the beginning of this year, the Kragujevac factory took over the final assembly and commissioning of complete rail vehicles. The factory is now a fully integrated part of the global network of Siemens Mobility production sites, and currently Siemens Mobility in Serbia employs more than 800 employees.
