Unemployment rate in Poland was 2.7% in June

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Poland was 2.7% in June 2022 - no change compared to May, the EU statistical office Eurostat reported.

The Czech Republic (2.4%) recorded a lower rate than Poland.

The number of unemployed in Poland amounted to 465,000 in June against 471,000 a month earlier.

In the entire EU, the unemployment rate in this approach amounted to 6% in June.

Eurostat measures the harmonized unemployment rate as the percentage of unemployed people aged 15-74 who were able to take up employment in the next two weeks and who were actively looking for a job in the past weeks for all the economically active people in the country.

According to the data of the Central Statistical Office (GUS), the unemployment rate, measured as a percentage of the unemployed registered in labor offices in relation to the total civilian population, was 4.9% at the end of June 2022.
