The development company Prologis acquired additional land for a logistics park near the D1 motorway near Ostředek in the Benešovsko region. The new land with an area of 7.15 hectares allows for potential construction with an area of 27,000 square meters. Thanks to this, the total area of the park will increase to 196,000 square meters, according to Prologis.

The developer is now building the first building with an area of almost 9,000 square meters. Half will be used by Zeppelin CZ, which is a seller of construction, earthmoving, agricultural and mining machinery and energy systems. Prologis recently acquired land on the other side of the highway, but did not state the value of the acquisition. The acquisition of land was mediated by the real estate consulting company 108 Agency.

"The acquisition of more land in Ostředek increases the park's potential to become one of the key logistics hubs in the Czech Republic," said Michal Vrba, vice president and director of project management at Prologis in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The mayor of Ostředek, Marek Škvor (unknown), said earlier that the project would help the development of the village. He pointed out that the village is building a water supply and sidewalks and needs money for a treatment plant. The annual budget without subsidies is around five million crowns, the municipality has already earned extra money by selling the land. According to Škvor, the creation of new job opportunities for local people should also be positive.

The UDI Group is also building a logistics complex near Ostředek, investing one billion crowns. The group is building on a plot of land with an area of 140,000 square meters, the halls will occupy 50,000 square meters.
