IKEA is continuing its shift towards online sales by opening a pick-up center in the Albert shopping center on Budysinska street in Liberec. The goods will be delivered from IKEA's store in Cerny Most, on the edge of Prague. The move is part of a trend in which the home furnishing retaileris giving customers more flexibility to choose where they make their orders from and how they pick up those orders. "IKEA stores continue to be an important part of our business," said Ivan Jančo. "They're a place where our customers can meet with IKEA experts and work with them to plan their living space, meet with people and get ideas." The pick-up point in Liberec will be open three days per week from 2 pm to 7 pm. The logistics company Hral will operate the pick-up point. IKEA opened its first Czech pick-up point in Hradec Kralove at the beginning of June and the response was strong enough to continue opening new ones. A third pick-up point is scheduled to open in Zlin at the end of August.
