Michal Liday has been appointed head of Tatra banka. He will take over on April 1, replacing Igor Vida. Vida was promoted to general director and chairman of the board of the Czech Raiffeisenbank, a branch of the Austrian Raiffeisenbank which also owns Tatra banka. The current director of Czech Raiffeisenbank, Mário Drosc, has resigned after two years on the job, according to the Czech version of Forbes magazine.
Liday is currently a board member, responsible for retail banking, small corporate clients and electronic distribution channels. He joined Tatra banka in 1997. Vida has worked for the Tatra banka since 1992, becoming its head in 2007.
