Pizza Hut Romania will close 13 restaurants

The Pizza Hut restaurant network in Romania will be reorganised, including the closure of 13 restaurants in the next 6 months. There are currently 43 Pizza Hut restaurants operating in the local market. Employees will be relocated to the Sphera Group chain.

The closure is justified by the intention to optimise costs but also to "increase agility in the face of increasing competition.

At the same time, Costică Mișaca, General Manager of Taco Bell Romania, will take over as General Manager of American Restaurant System, the company's subsidiary operating the Pizza Hut and Pizza Hut Delivery brands in Romania, for a two-year term.
