The European developer and owner of the semi-industrial and logistics properties VGP has acquired a new tenant for its logistics park VGP Park Kladno in the Kladno-East industrial zone. The Danish company Kvadrat, a leader in the field of interior design with a focus on the production of fabrics, carpets and other textile products for architects, designers and end users worldwide, is entering the Czech market with this step. For this purpose, it leased a total of 11,250 square meters of production and storage space, together with facilities for administration. The new hall will be implemented in the BREEAM Very Good green certification level and will be handed over for use in June this year. CBRE is a real estate consulting company behind the tenant's mediation.

"The entry of another renowned company into the domestic market once again confirms how Czech logistics real estate is currently doing. Interest in locations close to major city centers remains strong with a limited supply of quality space. VGP Park Kladno benefits from its location, as it is only one kilometer from the city center and at the same time 15 km from Prague and Václav Havel Prague International Airport,” comments David Plzák, VGP Country Manager for the Czech Republic.

Kvadrat was founded in Denmark in 1968. It is based on a design based on the world-famous Scandinavian tradition. It produces highly durable design textiles, carpets, window coverings and acoustic solutions for commercial and residential interiors, on which it collaborates with leading designers, architects and artists.

"Finding currently vacant industrial and logistics premises around the metropolis is almost a miracle. All the more so if you are looking for a tailor-made project. Kvadrat only demanded a free-standing hall of approximately 10,000 sqm. We consider it a real success that we have managed to provide ideal premises that meet all requirements. The negotiations themselves then took place very quickly: we signed an exclusive lease agreement within one month, to the general satisfaction, ”comments Ivana Watson, CBRE's real estate consultant for industrial and logistics properties.

VGP Park Kladno is a newly emerging complex with premises suitable for industrial, logistics and business activities. It has a total leasable area of more than 25,000 sqm. The main advantages of the location include transport accessibility. The park is connected to road No. 61 in the immediate vicinity of the D7 motorway connecting Prague with Kladno (exit 7). In addition, Kladno is known for its industrial tradition and high-quality workforce. It is the largest city in the region, with more than 110,000 inhabitants together with the adjacent catchment areas.
