A recreational complex is to be built near the lower Novomlýn reservoir in the Břeclav Region in the vicinity of the existing UniCamp Nové Mlýny. The owner of the land is the Brno-based company Vinohrádky, which has already had the trees cut down this winter, leaving only a few mature trees. It plans to build 39 apartments with 114 beds, according to a document on the EIA Information Portal.

The 1.7-hectare site is located on the eastern side of the lower reservoir, north of the village of Nové Mlýny, and will be directly adjacent to the campsite on the southern side. Another recreational area, Camp Mars, is located a little further north. The investor is planning to start construction in October 2025 and the new recreation area should be ready in two years, i.e. from the 2028 season onwards. The intention is in line with the regulatory plan for the area.

The facility would include an electronic reception area and staff would only come to the facility when needed. There would be 58 parking spaces for visitors, a bike room, sauna, barbecue area with facilities, boat storage, children's and workout area. Drinking water will be drawn from wells. The complex will have its own sewage treatment plant.

The document mentions, among other things, that there are various recreational facilities to the south of the site, but these were built without permission and are not registered in the land register.

Since their creation in the 1970s and 1980s, the New Mill Reservoirs have been a popular destination for various recreational activities, with several campsites on the banks. They are also located in the neighbourhood of the Pálava Protected Landscape Area and close to the Lednice-Valtice area. Primarily, however, they were created for water retention, to protect the landscape from floods and also as a water reservoir for irrigating fields, orchards and vineyards.
