Altex Romania, one of the largest electroIT retailers, controlled by businessman Dan Ostahie, decided to enter the electricity production market, by establishing Altex Green Energy.

In recent years, Altex has focused on reducing costs, in order to be more profitable, but at the same time, to be able to offer customers the best price on the market for as many products as possible.

"The price of electricity has increased in recent years and we decided to install photovoltaic panels. We invested over 8 million euros in photovoltaic panels and the investment will be recovered in the following years. The photovoltaic panels were installed on the stores and warehouses owned by the group Altex Romania. The price of electricity will increase in the future, I don't think we will see any decreases," said the company's commercial director, Edvin Abdulachim.

In 2023, Altex recorded a turnover of RON 7.01 billion, increasing by 7.4 percent compared to the previous year.
