Amazon has created 5,000 jobs in Poland. jobs from 2020, bringing the total number of permanent employees to 23,000, the company said. Directly and indirectly, Amazon creates over 51,000 jobs in Poland.

Moreover, since 2012, Amazon in Poland has generated over PLN 12 billion in investments. This amount includes both capital expenditure (infrastructure, logistics centers, offices, technology development centers, etc.) and operating expenses (new jobs in Poland), it said.

As indicated, in addition to the large number of employees directly employed at Amazon, the investments made contributed to the creation of new jobs in the supply chain and with many cooperating trading partners.

According to the Keystone report, to which the company refers, companies in the Amazon supply chain (offering, among others, construction, transport, real estate services and various types of professional services) contributed to the creation of 18,000 jobs last year. jobs, and cooperating sellers - another 10,000.

Amazon has been operating in Poland since 2014 and employs over 18,000 people in nine logistics centers: in Sady (near Poznań), Sosnowiec, Kołbaskowo (near Szczecin), two facilities in Bielany Wrocławskie, Pawlikowice (near Łódź), Łódź, Okmiany ( near Bolesławiec) and Gliwice, as well as at the Amazon Web Services office and at the Amazon Technology Development Center in Gdańsk. In 2021, the 10th center will be launched in Świebodzin, where over 1,000 jobs will be created. Amazon launched Amazon.pl in Poland on March 2, 2021.
