Amazon to hire another 650 people in the customer service department Poland by year end

Amazon will create 650 new jobs in its customer service department in Poland by the end of 2021, the company said. The new positions will include employees working in the office or remotely, serving Polish-speaking clients as well as German, French and Italian-speaking clients.

"We are pleased that 650 new jobs will be created in our rapidly expanding operating base in Poland. This reflects our commitment to supporting the development of the local community. People working in customer service in Poland are excellent employees. This fact was of great importance to us. We are sure that they will also provide excellent service to Amazon customers, both in Poland and in Europe, " - said Jean-March Dupont, director of customer service in the EU.

So far, Amazon has created over 18,000 permanent jobs in Poland. They were created in nine logistics centers, the Amazon Web Services office in Warsaw and the Amazon Technology Development Center in Gdańsk, which provides innovative solutions to power Amazon products and services around the world, including voice solutions for Alexa. The tenth logistics center in Świebodzin will open in 2021, increasing Amazon's employment in Poland by over 1,000 new jobs.

Amazon's customer service department is responsible for answering various questions on their part - incl. related to orders, products, payments - and providing solutions based on innovative tools and technologies. It operates in over 140 locations around the world, providing award-winning customer support in 18 languages.

Amazon has been operating in Poland since 2014 and employs over 18,000 people in nine logistics centers: in Sady (near Poznań), Sosnowiec, Kołbaskowo (near Szczecin), two facilities in Bielany Wrocławskie, Pawlikowice (near Łódź), Łódź, Okmiany ( near Bolesławiec) and Gliwice, as well as at the Amazon Web Services office and at the Amazon Technology Development Center in Gdańsk. In 2021, the 10th center will be launched in Świebodzin, where over 1,000 jobs will be created. Amazon launched Amazon.pl in Poland on March 2, 2021.
