A new digital entertainment concept will open in September at Warsaw’s Norblin Factory. The 330-square-metre Art Box Metaverse will operate on the second floor of the Plater building, offering visitors immersive virtual reality experiences alongside a flexible venue for special events.

The project follows three years of activity at Norblin Factory by Art Box Gallery, whose Art Box Experience has presented multimedia exhibitions dedicated to Impressionist painters, Salvador Dalí, and Frida Kahlo. Unlike the gallery’s existing art-focused programme, the new Metaverse space will concentrate on interactive entertainment and will also be available for corporate and private rental.

The first VR installation, “Hotel Dracula,” has been licensed from Spanish producer Univrse. Guests will enter a virtual hotel where each room contains different visual and sound effects designed to create a fully interactive environment. Further productions developed with international partners are expected to be added in the coming months.

“Art Box Metaverse will allow guests to step into four-dimensional interactive worlds through VR technology, where they can actively participate in the experience,” said Joanna Kowalkowska, CEO of Art Box Gallery. She added that the programme will change regularly, offering visitors new experiences over time.

The initiative has been welcomed by Capital Park Group, owner of Norblin Factory. “Art Box Experience has become a permanent part of Warsaw’s cultural map, and we are pleased that this new project will broaden the complex’s entertainment offer,” said Kinga Nowakowska, Management Board Member.

Beyond its entertainment role, Art Box Metaverse has been equipped to host events of varying formats. The five-metre-high space includes a 7 × 4 metre LED screen, professional lighting and sound systems, and capacity for up to 200 visitors. Organisers will also have access to technical support, a dressing room, high-speed internet, and catering facilities.

The opening will mark what Art Box describes as Poland’s first large-scale metaverse venue, positioning Norblin Factory as both a cultural and entertainment hub in central Warsaw.
