Asbis and Mabion will replace Echo and GTC in the mWIG40 index

Asbis and Mabion will replace Echo Investment and GTC in the mWIG40 and mWIG40TR indices as a result of the quarterly adjustment of index portfolios after the trading session on June 18, 2021, GPW Benchmark reported.

As a result of the correction, the portfolios of the WIG20, WIG20TR, WIG30 and WIG30TR indices will remain unchanged.

The following changes will take place in the mWIG40 and mWIG40TR indices:

new companies: Asbis, Mabion;

companies leaving the index: Echo, GTC.

The following changes will take place in the sWIG80 and sWIG80TR indices:

new companies: AC, Action, Echo, GTC, PCF Group, ZCh Police;

companies leaving the index: Asbis, ATM Grupa, Boombit, Harper, Mabion, Sygnity.

Moreover, the shares of KGHM and PKO BP in the WIG30 and WIG30TR indices will also be limited to 10%, it was also announced.

The index ranking was prepared after the trading session on May 21, 2021. The ranking takes into account the share turnover and the monthly turnover ratio (MWO) for the last 12 months, counting back from the ranking date. The value of the free float shares was calculated based on the share closing price of May 18, 2021. The ranking does not include companies from the last quartile of free float capitalization, explains the WSE.

The GPW group operates platforms for trading in shares, treasury and corporate bonds, derivatives, electricity and natural gas, and provides indices and benchmarks, including WIBID and WIBOR. Since 2010, the WSE has been a public company listed on its trading floor.
