Auchan launches new type of stores in Romania

The French retailer Auchan is launching in Romania the franchise program that will operate under the name Simply and which will be found mainly in the proximity segment.

The first franchise store, Simply by Auchan, was inaugurated in Popești Leordeni, Ilfov county.

"The launch of the franchise program means going to the next level for Auchan, and this program comes with extraordinary opportunities. We want to make the Auchan available to entrepreneurs and, at the same time, bring our products as close as possible to every Romanian. We have been working for over a year to consolidate this model, integrating the experience gained from the large-scale partnerships already developed, and we are convinced that we have outlined a successful model, a complete package of products, services and support that differentiates us in the market. Our objective is to develop this concept and put as many Simply by Auchan stores on Romania's map as possible in the next year," says Ionuț Ardeleanu, Director General of Auchan Retail Romania.
