Axpo Polska has signed PPAs with Mirova Eolska and Uriel Renovables for the purchase of energy from photovoltaic farms with a capacity of approximately 165 MWp, the companies said.

Under the agreement, Axpo Polska will receive all electricity and guarantees of origin generated by two wind farms located in Biały Bór and Dębnica Kaszubska in northwest Poland. The company will also provide services ensuring balancing and securing a fixed price for parts from the generated electricity in the pay-as-produced model. For both wind farms, the PPAs will remain in force from the plant's commissioning until the end of 2024.

"Our subsequent PPA contracts show that there is still a huge demand for new renewable energy projects in Poland. As one of the main players on the Polish RES market, we are able to support investors and producers in managing their installations and achieving maximum profits from PPAs such as these can significantly contribute to the development of renewable energy in Poland," said Mateusz Marczewski, Head of Institutional Clients WE / EE at Axpo Polska.

The wind farm located in Biały Bór in Western Pomerania will consist of 42 wind turbines (Vestas V126 - 3.45MW) with a total installed capacity of approximately 144.9 MW, which means an average annual production of 364.1 GWh. The owners of the installation are the French fund managing assets and investments, Mirova Eolska, and the Spanish RES developer Uriel Renovables.

In turn, the facility in Dębnica Kaszubska in the Pomeranian Voivodeship will be an installation consisting of 6 wind turbines (Vestas V126 - 3.45 MW) with a total installed capacity of approximately 20.7 MW. The farm will produce an average of 61.4 GWh per year, and its majority owner is Uriel Renovables.

"Our partnership with Axpo began over 10 years ago with the sale of electricity from our wind farm projects on the Spanish market. We are pleased to be able to continue and develop cooperation also in Poland," added President Uriel Renovables Ignacio Huarte.

Axpo has been present on the Polish market for 20 years.
