Banca Intesa and NLB Komercijalna Banka have provided a €60 million loan to support the development of Airport City East Gate Business Tower 1, a new A-Class office building by AFI Europe in Belgrade. The project will expand Airport City Belgrade, the city’s established business park, and is designed to meet LEED Gold certification standards.

The 27,000 sqm office building will incorporate energy-efficient technologies and sustainable materials, aligning with current environmental and workplace trends. The project is positioned to provide modern office space in response to demand for high-quality commercial properties in Belgrade.

Both banks have stated that the financing aligns with their strategic focus on sustainable real estate investments. Banca Intesa CEO Darko Popović noted that the loan is part of the bank’s broader effort to support projects with strong environmental and efficiency standards. NLB Komercijalna Banka has also emphasized its commitment to financing energy-efficient developments.

AFI Europe has been active in Serbia’s real estate market, developing both commercial and residential projects. The Airport City East Gate Business Tower 1 is designed to offer modern office spaces, integrating energy-efficient systems and flexible layouts.

Upon completion, the tower will be part of Belgrade’s growing supply of certified green buildings, contributing to the city’s ongoing commercial real estate development.
