Big night in Warsaw at the CIJ Awards Poland 2021 - Full list of winner
Last nights CIJ Awards Poland 2021 at the Raffles Europejski Warsaw was a night to remember for all the things we enjoy about getting out and networking with our peers. The Polish CIJ Awards represented just that, with welcoming connections in a relax social environment of a luxury 5 star hotel.
The presentation of 31 categories started with the Best Residential Development of the Year with Malthouse Apartments by Echo Investment winning the top residential prize and a special favourite with this years jury committee. Second up was Best Office Development of the Year, which was won by Ghelamco with its 202 meters Warsaw Unit project in the heart of Warsaw's new business centre. Best Retail Development was won by another jury committee darling, Warsaw Brewery by Echo Investment, the development combines new, developing projects and infrastructure with traces of historical, industrial features of former brick brewery, JEMS Architekci studio was responsible for the architectural design. Panattoni’s Marek Dobrzycki was on hand to take the award for Best Logistics/Warehouse Development of the Year for BTS Amazon Świebodzin, a 200,000 sqm facility with BREEAM International New Construction certificate at the ‘Excellent’ level. Best Legacy (Reconstruction) Development of the Year went to Fabryka Norblina (Norblin Factory) by Capital Park in Warsaw's Wola district, a multifunctional complex with an area of over 65,000 sqm, 41 000 sqm occupy modern A + class office space, and the remaining 24 000 sqm are filled with entertainment, cultural, gastronomic, service, and commercial concepts, PRC Architekci studio was responsible for the architectural design.
New comer to the categories was Best High-Rise Development of the Year, in a heated jury voting, Warsaw Unit by Ghelamco came out on top to win, Warsaw UNIT was designed by architect Adam Wagner, a chief of renowned Polish-Belgian architectural studio PBPA Projekt.
For Best Architectural Development of the Year, this went to Warsaw Brewery by Echo Investment, their second win on the night. Leading Green Building Development of the Year went to Skyliner by Karimpol that has modern technologies ensuring Energy efficiency and the highest functionality standards, the building received the BREEAM certificate at the Excellent level, the project was designed by APA Wojciechowski. It is also one of the most economical buildings in Warsaw. Best Overall Developer of the Year when to Echo Investment who have completed projects in office, retail and residential in the past 12 months. The development categories where concluded by the Grand Prix which went to Warsaw Brewery, a flagship destination project of Echo Investment, which the complex encompasses 5 residential buildings - 4 with apartments for sale and 1 for institutional rent with the latter being still an innovative concept in Poland, 3 office buildings and 4 historical objects.

The winners of the competition were selected in a two-stage voting process. A selected jury committee of 12 recognised experts from the real estate, investment, architectural and construction industries. In the second stage an online balloting of 1200 votes were cast from CIJ EUROPE readers. The weighting of the jury committee and online CIJ readers votes, represented 61% and 39% of the final result
The winners of each individual categories also advance as nominations for the Best of the Best CIJ HOF Awards in 2022. The Hall of Fame Awards is the climax to the CIJ Awards series, pitting the winning projects and companies from around Central & Eastern Europe against each other to determine who the Best of the Best really are.
