The range of products of the Billa food chain can be purchased from today at the OMV petrol station on Strakonická Street in Prague. According to Billa, three more VIVA Billa stores will be added in the Czech Republic by the end of this year. Since 2014, Billa mini markets have been located at Shell petrol stations, with 70 currently in operation.

At OMV petrol stations, the Billa chain will offer approximately 1,100 items to customers. In addition to fruit, vegetables, cold cuts, cheese and bakery products, there are also drugstores and hot snacks. Billa will replenish the goods three times a week from its central warehouse in Modletice near Prague, representatives of both companies said.

"Our common goal was to offer a wide and carefully selected assortment of food products that will save customers time. During a short stop on the way home from work or on the weekend, they can buy all the food they need at the petrol station," said Daniel Vasilache, OMV's CEO.

The turnover of the food chain Billa in the Czech Republic reached CZK 33.7 billion last year, up 7.5 percent year-on-year. Billa currently operates 255 stores in the Czech Republic. On Wednesday, the company opened a new store in a modernized concept in Říčany near Prague, and plans to expand the network by another 80 brick-and-mortar branches by the end of 2028. OMV's net profit in the Czech Republic rose 34.5 percent year-on-year to CZK 558.9 million the year before. It currently has 140 petrol stations in the country.
