Businessman Dan Nicorescu is preparing to enter the renewable energy production market, with four photovoltaic parks to be set up in Dâmbovița county, and has decided to temporarily halt his real estate investments due to the economic situation.

The investor hopes to start construction this year. Two of them will be built in Baleni and one Bucșani and one in Morteni, all in Dâmbovița county.

Dan Nicorescu said that the investment value of these projects is between EUR 15 and 20 million and will be supported by own funds. "I will apply for an aid scheme like PNRR or the Just Transition Programme, but it is difficult to access such funds. There are a lot of conditions and you have to ask for as little as possible to make sure you get funds," Nicorescu explained. Asked if he wants to sell the PV parks after development, Nicorescu said he intends to exploit them, "but it depends on the economic situation".
