The General University Hospital in Prague 2 is preparing for a wide-ranging modernization, which will be carried out in several stages beginning next August. The work will include the construction of a new hematology clinic building as well as reconstruction of the complex's gynecological, cardiological, psychiatric and surgical units. The buildings are being scanned and all possible technical information about them digitized into a complete database on the current status of each structure. The data will form the basis of an online system for building maintenance and management. The planned reconstruction will be carried out with BIM technology, which is to be assembled by the company Archcom in cooperation with Studio Acht. The entire investment will run into the billions of crowns to complete.
