Borussia Dortmund, one of Germany’s premier football clubs, has officially partnered with Panattoni, Europe’s largest property developer. This collaboration marks Panattoni’s entry into the football world, aligning with the start of the new Bundesliga season and the debut of former BVB player Łukasz Piszczek as Dortmund’s assistant coach.

The partnership, which officially begins in August 2024, strengthens the existing relationship between Panattoni and Borussia Dortmund. Since 2018, Panattoni has supported the Łukasz Piszczek BVB Academy in Goczałkowice-Zdrój, Poland, which has become a leading football academy in the region. The academy, known as the “Panattoni Arena,” benefits from state-of-the-art training facilities, thanks to Panattoni’s backing. This facility provides young talent with top-tier training, contributing to the development of future football stars.

The partnership extends Panattoni’s involvement to Borussia Dortmund’s BVB Business Network, a platform that fosters collaboration and exchange among regional and international companies. Panattoni joins a roster of prominent network members, including GLS, Melitta, Rheinmetall, Aral, Coca Cola, and Rewe. This partnership enhances Panattoni’s visibility and presence in the sports world, complementing its leadership in the real estate industry.

Robert Dobrzycki, CEO of Panattoni Europe, expressed pride in the partnership, highlighting its significance beyond the real estate sector. “We’re proud to announce our partnership with Borussia Dortmund. This collaboration allows us to extend our influence beyond industrial and logistics real estate, while also supporting the sport and promoting young talent. Borussia Dortmund’s international vision, paired with a strong local focus, aligns perfectly with our values,” Dobrzycki said.

Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner at Panattoni Germany, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the unique opportunities the partnership presents. “Membership in the BVB Business Network gives us the chance to connect with other leading companies. Borussia Dortmund’s rich history and passionate fan base make us proud to be part of this community,” Bohne added.

Carsten Cramer, Managing Director of Borussia Dortmund, welcomed Panattoni to the network, acknowledging their commitment to football and youth development. “We’re pleased to have Panattoni join the BVB Business Network. Their support for our club and the Łukasz Piszczek BVB Academy reflects a genuine passion for football and nurturing young talent,” Cramer stated.

The partnership between Borussia Dortmund and Panattoni is set to enhance both the football club’s and the developer’s presence on a global stage, reinforcing their shared commitment to excellence and community development.
