The JKC Restaurants chain, a family business with the fastest rise in Canada, enters Romania. The company, launched in 2015 by Kathryn and John Chayka, owns and operates 27 Wendy's franchise restaurants in Ontario and Quebec and 5 Tim Hortons franchise locations in Quebec. Behind the company is the vehicle JKC Capital, a fund established in 2014 to manage exclusively the assets of the Chayka family and which already has offices both in Toronto and Scottsdale, as well as in Bucharest.

Wendy's is the third largest fast food chain in the world, with around 7,000 restaurants, after McDonald's and Burger King.

Tim Hortons is a fast food chain of coffee shops and restaurants based in Toronto, Canada. The chain has more than 5,100 units in 13 countries.
