Catella Corporate Finance Denmark has acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Catella Real Estate AG (CREAG) in the divestment of the 6000 square meters historical Rosenborg-Annex, with a prime location in the inner city of Copenhagen.

Rosenborggade, situated in the very centre of Copenhagen, holds a protected status as a cultural heritage. The property consists of a mix of commercial spaces, including offices, a restaurant, storage areas, and parking spaces. It stands as a testament to the city’s rich architectural heritage, seamlessly integrated with modern functionality. Before Catella Real Estate AG took over, the building had been closely affiliated with KFUM and the Royal Life Guards before adding premises to the Department of Political Science at the University of Copenhagen for almost 40 years. Catella congratulates Jeudan A/S on its underwriting and is especially happy to hand over the reins to a new owner with a renowned track record of operating and preserving historical assets in inner-city Copenhagen.

Jesper Bo Hansen, Managing Director of Catella Corporate Finance comments: “We assisted CREAG in the acquisition of Rosenborggade 15-17 back in 2012 and also facilitated optimal long-term local financing as part of our Debt Advisory activities. CREAG has been the proud owner ever since. Despite the property's exceptional features, including its prime location and unique architecture, Catella and CREAG is now pursuing an institutional reallocation strategy, shifting its focus away from the office segment and towards ESG across all its Investment funds. We are pleased to support this strategy, and equally pleased to hand over this exceptional property to Jeudan, the leading listed property company in Denmark. Jeudan’s reputation for managing high-quality properties in inner-city Copenhagen, with a portfolio of EUR 4,5 bn including the neighbouring property, assures us that this historical building is in the best hands for the future.
