Cologne: Full leasing in the Güterhaus - long-term leases have been signed for over 10,000 sqm

Long-term leases were finally concluded with the City of Cologne, Sparkasse KölnBonn and the IT service provider kommIT. The City of Cologne, with around 400 employees as an anchor tenant, will move into ultra-modern and future-oriented office worlds on 8,300 sqm. Sparkasse KölnBonn will open a consulting location with a self-service zone in the Güterhaus: Around 30 employees will work in I/D Cologne in the future and, with the service point including ATMs, will optimally complement the mix of uses in the quarter.

The IT solutions provider kommIT will move into the top floor with around 1,400 sqm and will implement a new-work concept there with around 50 employees. The company supports its public administration customers in driving digitization forward with software solutions and consulting services. kommIT is changing its location within Cologne and moving from Hansaring to Cologne-Mülheim. Greif & Contzen acted as advisor for the lease.

Centrally located in I/D Cologne, the Güterhaus is not only a sustainable building that is aiming for DGNB Gold certification due to its fully met ESG criteria. It also sets new standards in smart building through a fine-meshed sensor network, energy-efficient building technology and its intelligent networking. This enables maximum user comfort while keeping energy consumption and CO2 emissions low during operation. The Güterhaus offers state-of-the-art working environments and many rooms in the outdoor areas as well. A spacious courtyard, the extensive balconies assigned to each floor, and the roof terrace create places to gather, for lunch breaks or even for working outdoors. The building complex is scheduled for completion in Q3 2023.

"The full occupancy shows us once again that the area is filling with life and that we have already come very close to our vision of a future-oriented, dynamic commercial quarter."
